The tournament attracted a record-breaking 812-person field, becoming the largest ever Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event. What is more, it become the largest ever WPT event with a buy-in fee of over $10,000.

The great interest in the prestigious tournament generated a prize pool of $7.876 million. The top 81 finishers will receive a payout, min-cashes beginning from $19,691. And the top nine finishers will leave the event with a six-figure payout.

As for the winner, they will be awarded the amount of $1,958,065 for their deep run. The second-place finisher will also receive a seven-figure payday. They will collect $1,134,202 upon leaving the record-breaking tournament.

Las Vegas’ emblematic Bellagio Casino is playing host to the Main Event. By the time Day 2 of play concluded last night at the host venue, there were just 320 players left from the gigantic field. The remaining hopefuls are set to return to the Bellagio today at noon local time to bring themselves closer to the money. However, the money bubble is not likely to burst before Day 4 of the tournament.
